About Me

I grew up in Iowa (Go Hawks), but have spent the majority of my life in Minnesota. After spending 16 unfulfilling years in “Corporate America” and a cancer scare, I realized that life is too short and I wasn’t going to spend the rest of it doing something I didn’t love. So, I went on a quest to figure out….”What Am I Meant To Be Doing???”

After a months long career workshop, two things became clear:

1) I wanted to do something related to movement/fitness/health

2) I wanted to work with/help people older than me

Why? I grew up very active whether it was organized sports or just playing games in the street with the neighbor kids. Also, my high school job was working in a retirement/nursing home and I always connected with the residents. Combining the two was a dream come true and after working in various gyms around the Twin Cities, I decided to start my own personal training business in 2021.

My training style is supportive and laid back, but I will also challenge you to get out of your comfort zone. I am obsessed with good form and that will always be our #1 priority. We laugh, sweat, listen to music and if we’re lucky, pet some cats along the way (if you allergic, this probably won’t work out).

I am not an “event trainer” For example, if you are looking for a trainer to get you ready for a vacation, wedding, milestone birthday or to get in the “best shape of your life”, I am not the trainer for you. Often times people do not continue training after their event passes. I train for “everyday life” in a safe, sustainable manner.

I live and work in the beautiful Bde Maka Saka neighborhood of Minneapolis with my husband and 3 cats. We love being active in our community, traveling the world and spending time with friends and family.
